With the receiving hoppers, type RH 20 Combi and RH 24 Combi, several handling steps in the storage and preparation process can be combined in just one machine. Thanks to the modular design of the machine and a wide range of options, the machine can be assembled to meet variable customer-specific requirements. The receiving hopper can be expanded to include pre-grading, a stone and clod separation system and a picking table with a sorting platform on both sides, which offers space for up to eight people. Pre-grading after the picking table is also possible, with a choice between a web grader and a one- or two-stage PU spiral roller unit, depending on the requirements in terms of grading accuracy and crop protection. The infinitely variable drive (standard) allows easy adaptation to various requirements. In addition to the broad modularity, the machines convince with optimum crop protection and high throughput at the same time.

The clearly laid out operator terminal GBT 818 has been specifically developed for the picking personnel on the RH Combi. The display shows all the essential parameters that are important for the picking process.

Continuously proven settings

The "Adjustment Control" feature for GRIMME receiving hoppers enables the digital display of speeds and spacings of the PU spiral rollers. Especially for inexperienced operators, the system allows quick and precise adjustment of the machine to recurring harvesting conditions and tuber sizes to achieve consistent separation results and accurate pre-grading. For maximum accuracy of the graded tubers, be sure to check the fractionated crop with potato sizing squares.

Thoroughly cleaned

The centrifugal cleaning system Turbo Clean offers the possibility to remove sticky soil from the rollers. Turbo Clean is ideal for sticky, adhesive soils. By use of an automatic timer it can be activated without the need for manual intervention.

Mechanically height-adjustable rubber intake flap

The height of the rubber intake flap can be adjusted easily and without tools, so that a simple, perfect adaptation to different transport vehicles is possible.

Especially designed for receiving hoppers

The GRIMME operator terminal GBT 831 has been specially developed to operate the receiving hoppers and Combis. All functions can be adjusted and displayed in a convenient and clearly laid-out manner.

Maintenance-free

The rollers are driven directly and without loss of power by one hydraulic motor each. The speed of each pair of rollers can be adjusted independently of each other. Furthermore, the groups of rollers are adjustable in distance to achieve the best results with different crop sizes.

The storage line evolves into an assembled unit

Flow Control connects all machines that belong to one storing line to each other. The entire line can be stopped by each machine without delay or automatically stops itself in case of trouble. The entire storage line can be started at the push of a button in a programmed start-up sequence from any terminal. In order to avoid blockages, the machines start from the final discharge point of the storage line back to the receiving hopper with a programmable time offset. The minimal manual control effort allows the entire line to be operated by a single person, thus reducing the need for additional manpower. In conjunction with the automatic speed control of the hopper floor, called Capacity Control, a uniform crop flow in the entire storing line can be ensured under all conditions.

Comfortable operation

The individually configurable operator terminal VC 50 allows each user to adapt his own user-interface in that way, that he is able to make settings as quickly and conveniently as possible.

Stone and clod separation

For the pre-graded fraction of potatoes with a diameter of less than 45 mm, the unique clod separator, type CLS, enables a gentle and efficient separation of stones and clods. GRIMME receiving hoppers, type RH-Combi, offer the choice between the so-called "CLS I" consisting of a single drum clod separator and the so-called "CLS II" with two drum clod separators, arranged in series, for maximum separation accuracy.

The intensity of cleaning can be adapted via levelling adjustment.

The minimal drop step enables gentle crop transfer from the hopper floor to the PU spiral rollers.

Simple solution for a gentle and crop-protecting transfer from one conveyor to the next via soft, flexible and self-cleaning PU-fingers.

Manual picking

The picking platform offers enough space for up to 8 people to inspect the crop and to pick undesirable admixtures. Special turning rollers are available as an option so that the crop can be inspected from all sides during the passage on the picking table.

Variable use

The receiving hoppers RH 20/ RH 24 Combi can be used variably, thanks to a wide range of different sorting or pre-grading units. The optional use of a web grader WG 900 or additional PU spiral rollers for pre-grading behind the picking table enables the crop stream to be fractionated into two or three fractions of different size.

Pre-grading

To divide the crop flow into two fractions of different size, a set of spiral rollers pack or a web grader, type WG 900 tandem, can optionally be assembled behind the picking table. In the case, that a third fraction with different size of the crop is desired, two packages of spiral rollers can be fitted.
