SPUDNIK

MOBILE GRADER WITH AIRSEP

The Spudnik 992 AirSep Eliminator is the perfect solution for storing potatoes with a higher number of impurities such as stones and earth clods.

Grimme's sister company Spudnik will present their brand new mobile AirSep sepatating device at the 2017 Agritechnica.

The Spudnik 992 AirSep Eliminator is the perfect solution for storing potatoes with a higher number of impurities such as stones and earth clods. The 120cm wide intake conveyor perfectly transfers the crop flow from a recieving hopper or trailer. It is driven by either a powerful 55 kW electric motor or by a PTO shaft, so that it can also be used in the field. The crop is transferred from the intake web onto the AirSep device, which makes the potatoes 'float' onto the next conveyor due to the powerful airstream. The stones and clods of soil fall through due to their greater densities, and end up on a discharge conveyor belt which allows for an easy disposal of waste. The lighter potato foliage is blown upwards and is separated by a specially designed brush, so that the waste can once again be removed with ease.

The potatoes can then be transported into the storage facility via conveyor belts. The Spudnik 992 AirSep Eliminator is designed for a capacity of between 50 to 80 tonnes per hour, depending on the condition of the crop. It is also simple to take the mobile unit out of the storage line if not required, which saves time, energy and money.

Other members of the Spudnik AirSep Eliminator family include further variants with a 183cm or 267cm wide intake, as well as either 1 or 2 more separation devices before the AirSep.
