The Receiving hopper RH 24-XT or RH 28 XT were especially developed for sorting and for processors. Downstream of the spiral roller package with a width of 2.4 resp. 2.8 m, the crop is transferred at full width with a transfer belt, which is also 2.4 m / 2.8 m wide. The straight crop flow ensures a maximum performance during storing and further processing. Special constructive features of the hopper are the large horizontal discharge at the top end, active pocket sealings and the particularly soft PU spiral rollers of the cleaning unit. These features enable maximum crop protection and highest throughput capacity. The infinitely variable drive (standard) allows easy adaptation to various requirements.

The centrifugal cleaning system Turbo Clean offers the possibility to remove sticky soil from the rollers. Turbo Clean is ideal for sticky, adhesive soils. By use of an automatic timer it can be activated without the need for manual intervention.

The "Adjustment Control" feature for GRIMME receiving hoppers enables the digital display of speeds and spacings of the PU spiral rollers. Especially for inexperienced operators, the system allows quick and precise adjustment of the machine to recurring harvesting conditions and tuber sizes to achieve consistent separation results and accurate pre-grading. For maximum accuracy of the graded tubers, be sure to check the fractionated crop with potato sizing squares.

The deep, soft bunker bags ensure a gentle crop handling and even unloading.

Maintenance-free

The rollers are driven directly and without loss of power by one hydraulic motor each. The speed of each pair of rollers can be adjusted independently of each other. Furthermore, the groups of rollers are adjustable in distance to achieve the best results with different crop sizes.

Especially designed for receiving hoppers

The GRIMME operator terminal GBT 831 has been specially developed to operate the receiving hoppers and Combis. All functions can be adjusted and displayed in a convenient and clearly laid-out manner.

Capacity Control

A sensor which monitors the filling level of the receiving hopper regulates the optimum hopper floor speed at all times. In this way the entire storage line is used to its capacity without manual readjustment.

Infinitely adjustment

The speed of the roller-sets can be infinitely adjusted for optimum and particularly gentle crop cleaning. The infinitely variable spacing and inclination adjustment of the PU spiral rollers enables quick adaptation of the soil cleaning to varying soil and trash proportions. The intensity of cleaning can be adapted via levelling adjustment.

Comfortable operation

The individually configurable operator terminal VC 50 allows each user to adapt his own user-interface in that way, that he is able to make settings as quickly and conveniently as possible.

The storage line evolves into an assembled unit

Flow Control connects all machines that belong to one storing line to each other. The entire line can be stopped by each machine without delay or automatically stops itself in case of trouble. The entire storage line can be started at the push of a button in a programmed start-up sequence from any terminal. In order to avoid blockages, the machines start from the final discharge point of the storage line back to the receiving hopper with a programmable time offset. The minimal manual control effort allows the entire line to be operated by a single person, thus reducing the need for additional manpower. In conjunction with the automatic speed control of the hopper floor, called Capacity Control, a uniform crop flow in the entire storing line can be ensured under all conditions.
